Any one have any information on Canon's next cam in the HV line? Feel free to speculate on some possible specs. Canon usually introduces a new cam every 4 months which would put me in line for the next HV before my vacation in July.

Whatever is next won't be for awhile since this model just came out. Enjoy what's now. :)

HV10 is the exception to the rule. Canon usually introduces a new cam every 12 to 18 months depending whether it's low end or high end (in the consumer level -- semi pro and pro levels are not included in this equation).

I wouldn't look for a new gen camera from any of the big manufacturers until the end of this year and the beginning of next year at the earliest.

I'm going to be enjoying my HV20 for quite a while. I only have a 1080i TV display, anyway. At a certain point, our TVs need to catch up to our cameras . :)

Or you'd be in line for a great deal on the HV20! :D
