i recently got my SVS 22-31 pci (as Ed Mullen refers to it- 25-31 tuned to 22) and i am integrating it into my setup (main equipment):
mission m31 mains
mission m7c2 center
mission m7ds sides
mission m70 rears
pioneer 81 elite receiver.
cyberpower cht 1030 power conditioner/ surge protector.
usually i use my internal test tones to start calibration then switch to AVIA for the final tweak.
my question is- does anyone know what frequency the pioneer elite's subwoofer test tones are?
the reason i ask is because if they are say for instance- 20hz then you would need to add around 7db to the spl meter reading to correctly calibrate it (or as in my case find a good starting point towards final calibration).
also some here do not have avia or dve etc. and are relying on internal test tones for the time being until they pick up a calibration disc.
also i would assume different manufacturers of receivers use different frequencies for internal subwoofer tones? i may be wrong on that one. but, if so and you know, it may be a good thing to list them to help out.
thanks.
