I have been doing some research and I have been looking for a projector under $2000 that has HDTV support, HDMI, as well as support for a PC. I have searching around here and been reading all different posts about projectors. It seems that the Optoma HD72, and HD73 are very nice projectors. However picking one out seems kind of hard. It seems the HD72 would work nice for me, but by spending the extra money on the HD73 would it make a huge difference? I did notice the HD73 had "HD compatibility 1080p" is that true 1080p?

The HD73 did not get such great reviews for a darkchip 3 projector. I would get a Mitsubishi HC3000 over the HD72.

1080p compatibility means it can accept a 1080p signal and then downconvert it to 720p and display 1080p
