I was surfing through an online auction site and came across some H10's really cheap, will these work as an OTA only tuner? I dont have DTV or E* and want to make sure that I dont need a dish connected to it and that it would in fact work. Also, if the box was killed by DTV for non-payment, or there is no/invalid access card, would it still work for OTA? Thanks for the info and time.

The H10 has to see the sat to boot, and the H20 has to be actively subbed to work for OTA. Any older receiver will work for OTA without a dish, most require a card in the slot but deactivated is fine.
