I've moved in to an apartment where getting a cat-5 cable to my wired only Audiotron is simply not a possibility. It's been a solid performer for me since day one and I hate to let it go but I guess it's time to move on. :(

I do have a router/access point (NetGear WNR854T) up and running and providing a connection to my notebook and desktop. The router is connected to a PC running Windows Home Server Beta where all of my MP3s reside.

What is the lowest cost path to getting my collection of MP3s piped to the living room audio system without wires? All I need is MP3 playback and have no interest in pictures or video. A display along the lines of the Audiotron would be nice. Front panel controls would be nice but using a remote control is workable.

Suggestions?

P.S. Any idea what a gently used Audiotron is worth? Anybody looking for one?

Look for a 'Wireless Gaming Adapter' - (Linksys makes the WGA54G). After you configure it on the PC or laptop, just plug it in to the Audiotron with an Ethernet cable and the Audiotron thinks it is hard wired, meanwhile the game adapter converts to wireless.

HTH!

Look for a 'Wireless Gaming Adapter' ... and the Audiotron thinks it is hard wired...That's what I'd do rather than dumping the Audiotron.

You missed the $34.50 shipped SMCWAA-G at Buy.com!!!?!!!
