I posted this over in the PJ forum and got nowhere so maybe you guys here have a thought? I am trying to split the hdmi out of my cable box, a Sci Atl 4250hd, to feed one into my Panny pt-ax100u and the other to the 'daily driver'. I bought the hdmi splitter off of monoprice and it does not work properly. If I plug both devices into the splitter I get no image on either device. As soon as I unplug one of the devices the remaining device immediately syncs and displays the image from the cable box. I have swapped cables and am reasonably sure they are not the problem. Any thoughts?
I have use monoprice for past purchases and have been satisfied with the results. I have also sent them a similar email describing my situation.
Is is the HDCP that is causing this issue and if so is there an HDCP compliant splitter I can use?

"Is is the HDCP that is causing this issue"

Possibly. Are you using the powered or passive splitter from monoprice?

The passive one linked below:

Read mixed reports that it doesn't work well, specially for runs over 6 feet. You'd be better off with the powered one or just using component to one of your devices most likely.

Had already tried component to the pj and hdmi to my plasma as my pj only has one hdmi in and I watch more dvds than cable. The problem is that when an hdmi cable is plugged into the box, it will not send a signal to the component out. So in order for me to watch cable programming I need to pull out the hdmi cable, which is a PITA. I guess I will return the passive and buy the powered one. Oh well, you get what you pay for.
