Hi all - I'm new to HDTV options, but wasn't able to find an answer to my question after poking around in the forums for a while. I'm looking at buying a television with built-in ATSC/QAM tuner. My hope is to just use an antenna or my cable straight into the television for local HD broadcasts. However, what audio options does this give me (for using something other than the built-in speakers)? For example, if I wanted to run the audio into a Yamaha YSP 800? Looking at spec sheets, I see lots of 'inputs', but no mention of audio 'outputs'. Part 2 is what kind of audio does one get with OTA broadcasts? Is it just two channel or multi channel? Tks all.
John
If the TV has and internal ATSC tuner/receiver, just run either a digital optical or coax out from the TV to the YSP800.
Digital OTA is DD 2.0 or higher, depending on the program.

Well, your local HD content will vary as far as audio and video, some channels via 5.1, some stereo, ect...as far as connections just use an optical cable from the TV to your Receiver.
