Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or a possible solution.

A few weeks ago, the mediaplayer started to struggle to play divx files. The files worked fine and then one day decided it was not going to work anymore. The Divx files once selected show a black screen and then play about 5 seconds of sound that freeze's. Only a reset of the box will bring it back to life. I have reflashed the drive since then hoping that would correct the problem but the samething occurred. This only happens on certain files and other files converted to DIVX with the same settings work fine.

Also tried:

Deleting and copying the files over again
Dropping the resolution of the screen from 1080i to 720


Config:

160Gb NTFS
1.4.6 firmware, homebrew version (tried the files with both homebrew and official)

Hmmm. If these are divx files played off an internal hard drive, then I suspect your drive is not long for this world. If these are divx files played off the net, then I suspect network congestion.

Any reason you didn't try 1.4.7?
