unbelievable. watching this, i thought ... "this is pretty mediocre HD. but i bet there are going to be review sites that praise this". bingo !!!

i despair.

watching on a 120" screen, this one (to me) is pretty disappointing. detail was quite poor. not terrible, but not great either. i've seen MUCH better HD. maybe this stands up better on a small screen.

but i really don't know where this statement comes from ...

The Nutty Professor shows the quality that HD transfers can have

don't know whether to laugh or cry.

The transfer looks very good for an older title and its razor sharp!

What is up with all the reviews claiming prior edition dvd's had extras. I had the dvd and it only had a trailer. Universal has never released a special edition for the first film. The sequel had a S.E. with tons of extras but not the first one. If anyone has any info on this super secret special edition of the first Nutty Professor film let me know.

is that your opinion or just what you read in those reviews ?

and if it is your opinion, how about some stats ? what size screen etc.

Just finished watching it and I agree. Someone said in another thread that this looks similar to Happy Gilmore PQ but a little worse. I'd agree with that as well.

i was disappointed with it on a 120 inch FP screen. detail wasn't great. just don't understand why some people keep praising this one.

You need to have your player checked because it looked phenomenal on my 72" 1080P DLP.

LOL !!!!!!!

ps: no i don't. other titles look great. not this one. as i've said in previous threads, this title probably looks better on a smaller display. it's just for me, on a 120", it just doesn't have an impressive level of detail that i'm used to on HD.

if i reduced my projected screen to 70", even some of my DVDs even look pretty nice. so screen size does play a big part in the perception of how good a title looks.
