We were away for a few days and when we returned a number of the HD channels on Comcast were only showing "One Moment Please." ESPN was one of them but we received ESPN2. We were probably missing 6 of the channels.
A call to Comcast resulted in a mystified CSR. We tried connections as well as a box reset. A service call has resulted for this afternoon.
Has this happened to any one else?

YES! I picked up a new HD STB (non-DVR) for my wife's office a few weeks ago, and we get some but not all of the HD channels. We get the networks, we get HBO & Cinemax, and we get Discovery HD & Universal HD. All of the other HD channels give us "This Channel Should Be Available Shortly" or "Not Authorized".
I've had the box reset and even did a new software DL. At re-boot I got an error code of '5', don't know if that is related.
Haven't had time to schedule a service call yet.

Sounds like you've still got some sort of filter on the line, which Comcast needs to remove.

Had a tech out yesterday, and he said the signal levels going to the box weren't adequate. The levels at the outlet were okay, but then the line got split to go the modem, and then through the wall to where my wife's office is. The tech swapped out the splitter I had and also redid the coax cable that I had used, and that fixed everything. At that point the signal levels were good at the box in question.
We even upgraded her STB to the DVR.

The problem that kcwjr describes sounds like a signal that is too low getting to the cableco box. This can arise from too much lose due to splitters, for example. I saw that problem intermittently a few years ago. Some days normal, other days "please wait". It was eventually diagnosed and repaired "at the pole". Squirrels had been chewing on the wires.
YMMV
