I am planning on buying a 42" plasma TV. I've narrowed it down to either the Panasonic TH-42PH9UK or the Samsung HP-T4254. I've heard alot of rave reviews on the Panasonic, but the Samsung has 3 HDMI connections built in, and to buying the stand and HDMI expansion boards for the Panasonic would bring the cost up to the Samsung. So is the Samsung HP-T4254 a good buy? Also I want as little overscan as possible. How is the Samsung in terms of overscan, and can it be adjusted in the service menu?

Incredible set. I had $4k budget to get a real nice 50-60" Plasma. I ended getting 2 Samsungs for money including a 4254. The new Samsungs are excellent and its due to their redesigned single pane glass panels and on board user control menu which is very extensive and allows you to adjust things like Gamma, color balance and grey scale. Most displays don't allow for those type of fine tune controls.
