I have a General Instrument CFT2200 cable box and is stoped working and now it says Your converter is disconnected. Cablevision stop charging me for it and they dont have it in there system. I live on Long Island and have cablevision . I dont think it will ever work unless i could mod it or something. Also is it good for anything else.

It is bricked!!

If they stopped "charging" you for it then you must have been renting it. And... if you are renting it, it is their property and have a record of it. They should be able to provide a replacement cable box and begin "charging" you again. ;)

Those boxes aren't used anymore. You need to trade it in for a Scientific Atlanta Explorer digital set top. Many companies already discontinued their Analog scrambled lineup and transitioned to digital.

Can TimeWarnerCable work with CFT2200? Why are people still paying for it? For pay-per-view? Has TimeWarnerCable stopped analog? I think the countdown to DTV is like another 504 days from now.
