Many out there, just make sure it can support up to 200lbs or more, and a 34" TV. I'm currently using one for my 30" CRT, but will be upgrading in the upcoming weeks. I haven't given up on finding the Sony XBR stand locally, so I can maybe haggle the price down a little if it already isn't low.

IKEA's Storemark is good. It has silver finish and fits almost perfectly with the TV.

Wall Mart has one also, I can not remember the name sorry. It has black finish and also fits nicely with the TV.

Both stands should be around $60-90 as I remember. I have both, but I like IKEA one more.

Circuit City is selling a three shelf TV stand for $99. It has a wooden front and glass shelves and can hold up to 240 lbs. and a 36" TV. It seems to be perfect for the 34" Sony.

I just saw this now after posting this info in another thread. I bought a stand at Circuit City for my 970 that's made by Z-Line Designs. Its metal with three glass shelves and looks good with this tv. I called Z-Line to be sure CC's website was correct when it states that this stand holds tv's up to 36" and weighing up to 260 lbs. They said it can actually hold a max of 310.

It's under $200, a good deal considering many of the prices I saw and it's made well.

If you want something not as modern looking, the stand that my tv is on only costs 90 bucks at Walmart.

BB clearance stand (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=5319951&st=VS47136&type=product&id=1051806244321)

It normally sell for $150-$200. I ordered one Tuesday for $49.99 and picked it up last night. Today it is $29.99. Back there I go for a price adjustment.

But it's for 32" TV's that weigh 135lbs...

Am I missing something? 34" TV that weights 190lbs.. fits on a much smaller stand, rated for far less..

I know it's not for everyone. My wife and I just really didn't care for the modern look anymore. Plus it was a lot cheaper than everything else and holds up to 240lbs.

I like the SONY stand for my 36KD955xs - after all it is designed together with the tv

Surprised no one here has mentioned the Sony (http://www.discountav.com/product.asp?product_id=SU-34XBR4&cookie%5Ftest=1) stand Somewhat pricey but it does match perfectly and mine had integral posts to secure the TV as well

Click on the "Sony TV on Bush stand" link after clicking on the below link.

My TV on $30 BB clearance stand (http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/wrwine3@sbcglobal.net/lst?.dir=/TV&.order=&.view=l&.src=bc&.done=http%3a//briefcase.yahoo.com/)

Sorry about the quality of the picture. Maybe after I pay the tv off I can get a better camera.

The tv hangs off the back of the stand by less than three inches. The stand has two features that help prevent the tv tipping forward. The base has a lip that sticks out three inches that prevents the stand from falling forward. It also has a strap that attaches to the stand and the back of the tv. The pilot hole for the strap is six inches left (viewed from the front of the stand) to align with the mount on this tv. Of course I discovered this AFTER the tv was in place.

I like how well it looks and works with my new tv.

I have no idea as my stand was a match for the 36kd955xs they had one for the 960 but it may be hard to find now 960 stand (http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=SU34XBR3&Dept=tvvideo&CategoryName=tv_StandsScreens_27%22to32%22TVStands)

It's no longer available from Sony. DiscountAV is the only store that sells a few Sony stands. I e-mailed them to assure they had the in stock, and they do.

Remember people the width of the TV is roughly 40" less and the depth is 24" less.

I actually bought that stand and returned it, on your pic it looks like it fits flush but the one i got was about an inch to small for my taste, i dont want it to be on the edge like that.

What do you guys think of the Z-Line Designs Lexington 48" TV Stand at Circuit City? (I'd post a link but as a new poster, it won't let me)

Yeah, it's a little pricy, but it looks nice, is well reviewed and can hold over 200 pounds.

Does anybody think the stand's only having 21" depth is a problem? I currently have my xbr970 on a stand with 19" depth and everything seems to be okay? Anything I should be worrying about?

Thanks

All the weight is on the front part of the TV. So you only need to stabilize the front
and don't have to worry about the back part.

Could someone with the Z-Line do me a favor and measure from the floor to the bottom of the top shelf?

Yeah, there's about a 1/4" of room on each side beyond the TV itself. I've never owned a TV stand that looked so perfect for a TV. Maybe they are a little bigger now then when you bought them, but that seems really odd to me.

Nice stuff. I just need something to tide me over, until I can pickup a much nicer stand.

Where'd you pick them up at? $120 for both the AV rack and TV stand right?

I got them at WalMart, in the Dayton Ohio area. WalMart doesn't have them listed on thier web page but I know the stores in my area carry them (was there last night and saw about 10 of each).
