What would be better for viewing dvd's on my 720p samsung?

Use my dell xps with nvidea gforce 7800 gtx over VGA, or just get a stand alone DVD player.

I guess my question is, which is better?

It depends on which DVD player you get. VGA is analog and the Samsung DLPs do better with a digital signal via HDMI.

So what is the verdict with all you experts out there?

I would be using a DVI to HDMI cable from my pc to my LCD.

Will i get just as good playback as with a stand alone dvd player?
