Around here it's tough to find new release HD DVD titles as it is, and when you do the store sure isn't going to stay open just for that. About the only place I could think of is a 24 hour Wal-Mart(that has HD DVD stock).

I'm thinking some places may attempt to stay open the night the Matrix Trilogy hits, but then again with Sony throwing money at retailers left and right, some stores may not even open the next day just to appease the master and screw HD DVD owners. :(

Only place I know of is a 24/7 Walmart. They label the racks on Monday and put the titles out at 12:01 on Tuesday, at mine anyways. Earliest I have purchase is 6:45 on release day.

The people at my Walmart won't get the HD movies out until like 8 or 9 AM on release day. They claim it's a different shipment than the other SD DVDs, so therefore they can't get them out at midnight because they aren't even in the store yet. That makes no sense at all to me, but that is the explanation that they gave me. If you call to get a copy of something they'll hold it for you for maybe an hour for you to pick it up, otherwise on the bigger movies they're sold out by noon. You would think they would see that there is a demand for them now and order more?
