Logtime viewer first time poster. After about 4 months of looking it's down to these two. Straight up fellas which way do I roll?

I don't think the higher cost of the HLT is worth it, unless you really need an extra HDMI port. The HLS is at least $500 less at most places. I haven't seen the PQ on the HLT, but I don't think it will be considerably better. If you have the cash then go for it. I'd rather spend it on an HD DVD player.

I was def. leaning in that direction, seemed like there were a lot of people here getting the new Hl-t though. Now i need to find a good deal on the HL-s

If you want to buy local, I'd hurry to a CC and BB and try to get them to match any online prices. I had to try a few different places but some are willing to match. They are trying to get rid of these to make room for the new HLTs.

Every year, these displays get a little better. I'd go with the new HLT.

In the Hl-T thread it seems that there are lot more negative or neutral comments while the HL-S thread was more impressed reviews
