hey all, I recently bought an HDMI cable for my TV. For some reason the sound is off on my HD channels. When I plug my HD component cables in, it works fine. What could be the problem? Any ideas?
Thanks.
Thanks.

That's a set of red and white audio cabels. vco08 04-29-07, 06:32 PM No. I think you misunderstood. I bought the HDMI cable and hooked it up. On my HD channels the sound is off sync. When I hook my component cables and remove the HDMI cable, the sound is in sync and all is well. TimothyB 04-29-07, 06:34 PM Just to clarify for them even more. When using the HDMI cable, is the off sync audio being sent via HDMI, or are you able to use red/white cables? vco08 04-29-07, 08:17 PM Yes, the audio is off sync. I get sound and all, but just off sync. I did find a setting in my TV for A/V Sync. I turned it on and plugged my HDMI back in...seems ok so far... rfitts 05-02-07, 11:50 PM I don't have sound at all when I plug in my HDMI cable, just have a picture. Is there some setting I need to change on the TV? I don't have to hook up seperate audio cables right? SmasHD 05-08-07, 09:50 PM I think HDMI is just for image you definitivly need another cable set for your sound. Stereo RCA or maybe Optic fibre or HD Sound (true surround) cables.. I got an kdf46e2000 and using HDMI to connect pc to TV i use Stereo jack to Stereo X2 rca (white n red) Lew Black 05-10-07, 05:32 PM I think HDMI is just for image you definitivly need another cable set for your sound. Stereo RCA or maybe Optic fibre or HD Sound (true surround) cables.. I got an kdf46e2000 and using HDMI to connect pc to TV i use Stereo jack to Stereo X2 rca (white n red) HDMI carries both audio and video. You should get sound with no trouble. (DVI is video only, HDMI has both). Vco-08, I am glad you found that Audio Sync adjustment. Where was it? Buried deep in some menu? Lew |
