I bought FFTD a few months back from dvdplanet. I just watched it last night on my xbox add on. It played flawlessly until the 2nd to last scene...the one with the main character racing against the main bad guy. There it started stuttering badly and then it completely froze. I tried cleaning the disc (even though its brand new). I even tried the boiling procedure. I immersed the disc for about 30 seconds then dried it off with a lense cleaining cloth. It still has problems there. It sucks because it has been more than 30 days since I bought the disc so i cannot return it to dvdplanet. That is my problem, I know. I should have tried watching it weeks ago...but that is neither here nor there now. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Perhaps I need to do something different with the boiling procedure.

I'll try just about anything...except maybe trying to clean it with sandpaper.

it might hae to do with the 360 add on. Ive heard it has lots of problems. Which is the reason I havent got one yet. However the sale that some sams club have (360 hd dvd player for 75 bucks) is tempting me. Assuming my sams club actually has it.

Probably a bad disc, and not the Add On......If there were probelms with the disc (borad ones) then we would have had a breakout of threads on it earlier........Please make sure you are connectred to live and have the latest updates as well for the Add On as recently people have found that they have NOT updated the drive and that was the casue of the problem......

I'm connected to live. If it auto updates like games do then I have the latest update. I bought the drive in january and I know it updated then. I have several combo discs and they all work. I know there have some problems with smokin' aces but it worked fine. This is the only disc that is giving me problems. I have even tried another xbox...not another hd dvd drive, just another xbox (just because it was available and I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot). I may try bringing the disc into cc or bb to see if they would test it on one of their systems. Thanks for all of the feedback. Any more would still be greatly appreciated. Especially if someone who has had success with the boiling process could provide a clear step by step process for me to follow including times (a link would be suitable too).

Thanks
