i was surprised to receive an email from amazon that they are refunding $2.96 for the price difference of Planet Earth HD-DVD. i ordered about a month ago when the price was $69.99 before the 10% discount. Since PE is presently backordered they dropped the price to $66.99.

Yep, same here. They are actually pretty good about doing this if the price drops before it ships. It's not much, but it's always nice to get any kind of refund when prices drop!

I e-mailed them and got a refund also. Not much but a refund difference none the less.

I emailed them on Monday once the price went down and they credited me $2.9x -- I then got an email a few days later saying that they were crediting me the $2.9x again due to the price drop.
