The title says it all. Any ideas why this happened? It pretty much occured overnight while I was asleep. Any ideas how I (meaning me) fix it?

It looks like the infamous "Samsung Side Shadow" problem where the light tunnel collapses, but in your case it looks like the whole thing caved in. (Is it a Samsung?) Look for the thread somewhere in this forum. If you are under warranty, they replace the light engine, if not, find the thread and see all possible solutions available.
