I bought a universal remote for use in my bedroom setup. It works fine with the RCA TV and Sony VCR I have up there, but I can't get it to work with the DVD player. The player is an RCA DRC200N. Tried the code search and the one code the manual gave.

The remote is a Sony RM-V202. Should I call Sony support on Monday, or does anyone have suggestions?

There’s a very good reason why I typically avoid recommending preprogrammed-only remote controls: what they can’t do, they can’t do. If your brand of device isn’t covered by the built-in database, there’s nothing you can do about it.
Not to be flippant, but I think your only solution is a different remote.

On the dvd player you could try to set it to code set 1 or 2 they come on code set 3 factorey set. Hope that helps
