Just got my Dream Girls disc today. The main menu does not show up at all. No way to play the movie. My S1 has the latest firmware. The 1 and only menu I get are the extras.

Early but not lucky...I would try skip and jump... i am sure one can start the movie somehow.

No offense, but are you sure you're playing the movie disc. This is a 2 disc set: Movie is on a BD-50 disc and extras are on a BD-25 disc.

Every disc I've played on my XA1 has played. I think the problem is with the 360 addon. Which is going to fixed by a software update for the 360!

are you sure about that. did you read the problems thread.

there is a hell of alot more players and folks who have had problems.

all of the player in fact are cited.

it may be random. but random sucks... for them.


On a good note. my A1 hasn't had any problems. I am going to try and watch COM tonite.

Folks in there did a estimate and that is how many people in there have had problems.

HD DVD folks get so up tight when you mention any little true evidence of their precious format in peril.

My HD DVD player was a total piece until I sent it back to toshiba for repair. It has worked like a charm ever since, NEVER locking up.

You propably won't, i think Alan had problems with The Avenger disc too on his Sony? (if i'am correct) but worked perfectly on his PS3

There are two discs. The movie was on the left side under the paper advertising. I never thought to look for it. I feel like an ostridge and want to bury my head in the sand :o :o

The transfer looks great by the way.

The same thing happened to me back when I used to actually have to go to a store to rent DVD's. I rented The Hulk from Blockbuster and only got the special features disc.

That instantly came to mind when I first read your post and you only mentioned that you had received the "disc" not plural.

I had no idea this was a duel disc package, never had one before and never knew they existed on HD. I would rather have it this way to max picture quality of the movie.
The picture quality is first rate. No EE and the colors are great. Sound it very good as well. A keeper!

My Panny-sonic just loves this disc and so do I....Motown opera dee-luxe. What a great start for Dreamworks. This film is to Motown what Galaxy Quest is to Star Trek.

Every where it is advertised and reviewed as 1:78 AR -I watched it today and was pleasantly surprised it is 2:40 AR.
