Anyone know of anywhere to download (legally) trailers or clips of Sin City, Kill Bill, Star Wars, LOTR in HD? I would like to put them on my PS3 for demo material that is easily assessable. Thank you!

I would like to put them on my PS3 for demo material that is easily assessable. Thank you! CycloneGT 04-30-07, 04:46 PM Apple seems to always have a ton of HD clips for movie trailers. Try over there. josejrp 04-30-07, 04:50 PM You can get most of these in 1080i/720p formats at the Apple Quicktime Trailers web page... if you have Quicktime Pro, you can save them to your drive, and there are also a couple of tricks to save them using regular Quicktime. Better yet, iTunes has a movie trailer section that lets you keep the trailers (some are in HD, some aren't, but Apple is clear about which is which). Also, some have 5.1 AAC and some are in regular 2 channel AAC, so YMMV. As far as playing them, I installed the K-Lite Codec Pack in my PC, and they play fine in Media Center... (although I had to change the file extension from mov to mp4). I didn't have to configure anything for the video (I am using whichever codec K-Lite prefers for H.264) but did have to configure ffshow audio to decode AAC and output AC3. I have a fairly modest PC (2.8GHz PIV/9800pro), so I was happy that it could play them. I think before the K-lite codec pack I also had good results with CoreAAC and Core AVC, but I didn't want to pay for Core AVC after they started charging for it. Not sure if they will play on the PS3, but if it supports H.264 video and 5.1 audio, they should play... you may have to do the same extension trick (change the extension from .mov to .mp4 to get them recognized). Good luck! curtishd 04-30-07, 08:52 PM Unfortunately I did not see any on apple website. Marcus Carr 05-01-07, 12:56 AM http://www.apple.com/trailers/ A lot of HD trailers but none of the ones asked about. Someone should tell Apple that 480p is not one of the HD formats. |
