I've had my Pioneer Elite DV-45A universal player for over 3 years. Recently it has started to make a distractingly loud vibration/rattle noise. However, the noise is only present when the first 1 or 2 tracks of a disc (and sometimes the menu) are playing.
Has anyone else had this problem with this or other players? Is this something I can fix myself? I am reasonably comfortable with electronics and low voltage equipment, but I'm no technician and I know nothing about lasers. In the next few months I'll be upgrading to a 1080p upconverting player, so I hate to spend money to have it professionally repaired. At the same time, I don't want to endure this obnoxious sound in the meantime. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
