I have a Mitsubishi WD-62725 that is losing part of the picture outside the screen. That is, if the physical screen is 60" x 40", the picture is actually something like 61" x 41." I notice this in some viewing material and also in the DirectTV screen saver where the DirecTV logo bounces off the sides of the screen: the logo actually continues for about an inch into each wall before reflecting back. Is there an adjustment somewhere that will reduce the size of the projected image?
Thanks for any help.

It's called overscan. It's normal to have a little. Unfortunately microdisplay RPTV's do not have service menu adjustments to reduce overscan.

Ok. By "service menu" I assume you mean something I can access through the remote control. But I'm willing to take the back off and turn a screw - if there's one in there that will fix this.

there is nothing you can do on the TV, you may want to check your source device for overscan/underscan options.
However, if you are refering to a centering problem and not an overscan problem, then simply enter the service mode and adjust the horizontal or vertical center.
Ok, I'll give up on reducing the overscan. And actually, since the missing content I want is usually at the bottom I guess I could just move the whole screen up. But my Owner's Guide doesn't talk about a "Service Mode" so could you perhaps tell me how to get into it and adjust the vertical center on a Mit WD-62725?
Thanks for any help.

I found the answer to my question by downloading the service manual for the WD-62725 from servicemanuals-dot-net for $16.99. (Can't post the full URL because I haven't posted here five times yet.) There are only five service adjustments and none of them are for overscan, but horizontal and vertical centering are there.
Thanks

Well grats for servicemanuals-dot-net for stealing your $17.
