Hello all.

I've done extensive searches on the internet, but haven't stumbled upon an answer for my problem. I have an older (meaning roughly 10-12 years) Panasonic 32" CRT TV. Just last night I went to shut the TV off, it made a noise, and now when the TV is off the screen, for lack of a better term, scrunches towards the middle with a bright white color, and then expands to full screen and stays bright white. Every 30 seconds or so it scrunches back towards the middle again, and then expands to full screen, all while keeping the bright white on the screen.

The scrunch is about the same size as if you put a widescreen TV on it's side. So in other words it scrunches in vertically with black bars on the side of the screen.

This only happens when the TV is off. When I turn the TV back in, it *seems* to work fine (didn't have a lot of time to test last night).

Has anyone run into anything like this before? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance and be sure to let me know if you need more clarification!

Have you tried pulling the AC power for 15-min or so? See if that resets anything.
