Guys, I'm lost. This damn TV was having issues coming on (could hear the sound but no video). So I started reading about this TV and this POS has had issue since infancy. Finally the TV wouldn’t come on at all and the standby/temp light on the front on the the TV (the on button) would stay on. I tried the BS hit the button three times, ten times whatever to try and reset it but it didn’t work so I replaced the bulb but I still have the same problem. Can anyone help me?

Since it's had problems since infancy, do you have a record of numerous complaints with Samsung? If so, they may stand by you despite it being out of warranty. Did you buy an EW?

I never took it back I just let it go with the lamp not always coming on and by the time it would not even turn on I had already had the tv longer than the waranty. Does anyone have any troubleshooting ideas?

I has a similar problem last year.

My video would cut out (black screen) but the audio would still work. This problem wasn't consistent - it would occur after operating for seconds, minutes, or hours. It would also occur in stretches where the problem would occur for a span of a couple of days and then nothing for a week to two weeks.

It was extremely frustrating because I couldn't reproduce the problem for the tech. Eventually they did find out what the issue was but unfortunately I don't remember what it was.

To fix the problem they replaced the motherboard.
