I have a Samsung 43" DLP 401HLN436SW. Has given great service for 4 years with 1 replacement of color wheel & lamp. Suddenly the color is skewed to green in HD mode only. No problem otherwise. When I go to picture adjust looking for tint control there is no red/green tint bar to adjust. The tint control red/green bar does show up in standard mode and can be adjusted, but adjustment doesn't hold when switched back to HD. I would expect to see tint control available in HD ?

Samsungs don't allow tint adjustment for any incoming scanrate over 480i. With all the praise these sets get around here I've never understood why this ommission is completely ignored.

You don't mention what connection method you're using but if it's component video there may be a problem with one of the three component video cables causing this. Alternatively there may be an adjustment in the service menu. I'm not a Samsung expert but perhaps one will come along and help with this.

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Enter the service menu by turning off the power and pressing Mute - 1 - 8 - 2 - Power

WRITE DOWN EVERY SINGLE SETTING AND IT'S VALUE OR TAKE A PICTURE WITH A DIGITAL CAMERA. DO NOT PROCEED UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE THIS.

One of the menus will have "auto color" and "auto adjust" at the top. I've had the issue you are having many times with my HLN-437 and using "auto color" and selecting reset has always fixed it since those are the values it was calibrated at. If it doesn't help then just put the values back to what they were and call samsung.

Keep in mind that if you do this in the service menu for DVI it will effect ALL other connections as well. If you do it for component then DVI will be untouched but all lower connections will be affected.

The colors drift over time to account for bulb aging and this puts them back. I've had it do all kinds of things like setting my colorspace to 0 - 0 instead of 16 - 234.

P.S. if you want to give me better information about how it is connected to your source and such I can give you more specific info.
