Does anybody know if it's possible to change the color of the sidebars in this DVR? That gray is horrible, I don't know why it's desgined that way. I want them black.

If you have that option it would be located in the "General Settings" of the box under SET: TV Borders. If it's not in there, then you don't have the option to change it.

Its not under the simple settings you have to go to the complete settings list.

You should be able to turn them black.

One option is to set up your output to upconvert to 720p that will create small black pillerbasr on a 16:9 screen for 4:3 content. Works ok if you have a 720p dipspaly especially if you set it for 1:1 pixel match or 100% overscan.

I think probably you have SARA. I have realized since I first got this DVR that some people get SARA and others get Passport, and Passport doesn't have a setting for this. At least it's not under "More settings", or in the diagnotics channel (999).
