Started a new character this weekend. I wanted someone who was a bit more slealthy. Biggest difference I culd tell was switching from heavy armor to light. My new character can get killed pretty quickly now. Even when i use a sneak attack, they rarely are killed from one blow so the game has become a lot tougher.
I am only at Level 2 so perhaps that will explain why one hit against me basically drains half my hp but will this get better as I go through the game? Because its getting to a point that even with a sneak attack, i can't survive long enough to defeat an enemy.

once you get your sneak skill up, you'll be the one killing others with one blow.
use a 1 handed weapon, and carry a shield. Get your sneak and block ability up. Whatever you don't kill with one hit, you can block their attack and kill them right after. Sneak is great. what with pickpocketing and sneak attacks.

Training is good to a point in that it instantly levels up the particular skill that you train. However, you can only train five times per level and it can get costly. Your best bet is just to find somebody to sneak behind and just move around. This will quickly level up your sneak skill. For the blocking skill just find a rat and block its attacks to level up your block skill.

I dunno if it works in the PS3 version, but in the pc when you start out in the cell before you go to talk to the other guy in the cell who trash talks you if you just sneak around in your cell your sneak skill goes up fairly quickly. Yes, poorly constructed sentence :p
