I have 7 videos in HD that I have filmed for download if anyone is interested.
I filmed some macro videos of bugs, mostly jumping spiders and they have some great detail in HD. They are in 1280x720p mp4 format. I used a special macro set up to film these. The video called wedge is from about a 18ft surf day.
I thought I would post these for something different for people to have some different HD content for thier PS3. They are all about 2 minutes each.

That's a cool thing to post. I've started downloading these.
I recently converted about two hundred of the older InterfaceLift.com 1920x1200 images into 1920x1080 images so they would display better on my PS3 using the slideshow function. They make for a great HD still picture demo. I used jpegtran to losslessly crop the images. I was particular about cropping only the least interesting part of the picture so there are no awkward photos. I've been thinking about sharing them with peopel here but InterfaceLift doesn't allow redistribution.

Very simple...how can I convert my Quicktime 1080P videos into a playable format on the PS3?
What codec do your quicktime movies use? If h264+AAC-LC, then Quicktime Pro is supposed to do a straight resave into mp4 format.

I would have to buy Quicktime Pro then huh?
Not necessarily. But it really depends on your files.

I used Vegas 7 and used the mianconcept avc codec . I made a custom one for 1280x720p and a 10mb data rate. They are a little less than half the size of the HDV m2t's I usually render them to.
They are a little washed out and have some compression artifacts in the non detailed areas compared to the full 25mb data rate m2t's but I think they are decent for sharing.
I mainly use my PS3 right now for watching HD home videos downloading all hd ciontent I can so I thought I would share some of mine. I will post some more when I edit some more.
What do you record these videos with?
I mean, what kind of camera?

I used a Sony HDR-HC3 HDV camcorder , it is dicontinued now. To get more magnification for the bugs (which are alot smaller than a pea) I used a canon slr macro lens in-front of the camera . I had to make a bracket to hold the camera and lens.
Do you guys think they are decent quality ? I was trying to find good combo of good quality but small file size.

Joey,
Fantasic quality on the videos. I was told that the only true commercially available HD camera was the Cannon model. Teh gentleman at Wolf Camera said Sony just does an upconvert. Even so, the upconvert quality, (if it is an upconvert), looks great!
