UPDATE - screen is taken and picked up. Donated it to a non-profit.

Hi Guys!

I built my outdoor theater two years ago. Now, I'm moving abroad. Can't bring it, as much as I'd like to.

The screen is 196" (14.2x8 feet, 16:9 aspect). The screen material is plywood, and the frame is pressure treated wood. I spared no effort building it -- the plywood is properly stained and primed (for weather-sustainability) and the front (projection surface) is flat white paint.

I've kept it covered by a tarp when not in use, so it's in excellent condition.

The screen comes apart into four 4x8' pieces, but once put together again, the seams will need to be re-caulked and the surface repainted.

As stated above, screen is taken already. This post is here for archival purposes :).

Have an awesome day!

You lost me at pickup.

But you gave me a great idea for building my own!

So just caulk the seams before painting. I'm gonna try that for sure.

And it's gone!

Donated it to a non-profit. Couldn't have asked for a better cause :).

Here's a photo of the theater in action, taken the night before I dismantled it.

The picture is composited from two photos - one with flash, one without. The screen area is from the photo without flash (of course) and the rest from the photo with flash.

It really did look this good! :)

Kdos, it's taken already.

Bqmeister, it's a Sony VPL-HS20, the movie is Wallace and Gromit and the curse of the Were-Rabbit. The sound system was as good as the picture too :).. 5.1 surround sound, and I used parametric equalization to calibrate each speaker pair individually. It was nice just playing music out there ;).
