Pardon me if this has been discussed before, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what movie formats will play on my ps3 via a flash drive. When I transfer either WMV's, or MPEG's to my flash drive, then plug it in, it says that no movie files are found.. I thought I could just plug it in and they'd show up..
TIA,

You need to put them into a folder named VIDEOS. The PS3 doesn't support WMV files.
if you are using the memory stick just for the ps3 i would format it in the settings menu or just make a videos file. another way to find things on the card is selecting videos on the xmb then highlight the card and hit triangle and click select all or expand all and you can manually look threw each folder for videos, you can do the same thing for music and pictures.
afaik, the ps3 pretty much only plays mpeg formats (mp4/avc, mpeg4-sp, mpeg2, mpeg1 etc).
