I know it has been discussed in the forum a little, but I havent had any luck with recording because my DVD-VR330 wont recognize the brands of dvd's i have used. So far I have tried:

Sony DVD-R (player recognizes and records but will not play back even after finalized)
TDK DVD+RW player wont recognize at all
Imation DVD-RW player wont recognize at all

Which brands do you use sucessfully? (I am looking for a RW DVD)

Thanks in advance

I've used Office Depot -RW discs with the VR330, and they work fine. Plus they are frequently on sale...bonus!

Sony DVD-R's were the only discs I could count on with my VR330. The player recognizes, records and plays them after finalization reliably. TDK-R's would be recognized but not always recorded and Maxell DVD-R's would not even be recognized. I have not tried any RW's as the R's suit my needs.

Are you saying even the VR330 won't play back the finalized Sony DVD-R's? I have heard of problems playing discs finalized in Samsung players in other DVD players.
