I am not sure which technology is better for my two applications.

First is my exercise room. Use it for about an hour a day in the early morning, usually before the sun is up (so the room is mostly dark). Viewing distance is 6 feet. Largest TV size that will fit is 42". Would like to take advantage of 1080i Dish and possible HD DVD in the future (1080p). I realize the Panasonic TH-42PZ700 may be the only plasma option here. Viewing angle is about 20 degrees off center both horizontally and vertically.

Second is our family room. Viewing distance is 9 feet and max tv size is also 42". TV is on 5-6 hours/day in mixed lighting conditions. Wall opposite tv has windows with horizontal blinds that still let some light in and reflections can be seen sometimes on the current 36 inch WEGA. Viewing angle is mixed horizontally from dead on to as much as 170 degrees off.

Budget for either TV is $2500 ($5000 total).

So, Plasma or LCD?

Thanks.
