Heh. Still, the sales would probably be able to match the one or two hundred of the regular PS3s they've already sold.

$600 is a hard sell for a toy, even if it does play BD. Maybe if they get a killer game.

Thats funny. Where is the make fun 360 elite trailer? They make fun of the PS3 getting warm when 360 has had how many die from overheating? Red ring of death anyone? They even need 3 extra cooling fans. I think the failure rate compared to PS3 to 360 is for every 10 PS3's, 500 360's fail. Now those numbers are not correct just from what I have read and gather that the 360's failure rate is a lot higher then PS3. Funny they make fun of that. I didn't see 360 have 1080P out of the box hahah, they even said 1080P, HDMI, or next gen media HDDVD or Blu-Ray were "not need.". Look at them now. Playing catch up are we? Just offering consumers another choice, unlike Sony who says I have to take a console with an HDMI port and a Blu-ray player. At least I was able to secure a 20 GB PS3 before they completely disappeared.

It was a calculated business decision made by people who are far more educated in these matters than you or I. The Core system gave people who shop on price an opportunity to enter the next generation at a somewhat reasonable price, then upgrade to wireless controllers, component, and the hard drive later if they so chose.

See I have never had that problem. My PS3 is cool to the touch, and it is in a cabinet. My 360 does tend to freeze up.....well almost all the time. In all fairness I think I got one from the bad batch. I have been meaning to get it fixed for months now.

I thought it was hilarious and yet my PS3 doesn't seem to have any hurt feelings. It still runs just fine and isn't throwing any hissy fits. :D :p

yes both systems are good...I have had a Xbox 360 for over a year. I like it. I bought it to play only one game and that is Halo 3. Gears of War bored me...Resistence was more exciting to play online that Gears of War...But I will play me some Halo 3 come this christmas....


And I will be playing Warhawk daily when it comes out....

Same here, well technically my PS3 is on top of the 360 with a barrier in between due to how it is setup but they work quite nicely together and don't mind sharinga CAT5 cable and wireless :D

It will be a waste, since after all PS3 lets you choose which ever HDD you like. On top of that all those features can be brough with a firmware update. So this is a rumor, most likley not true!

****, time travel is nothing. HD-DVD lets you travel to alternate realities. Why settle for moving back and forth in one universe's history, I can go to any point in history and have infinite options at that point. Believe me, it's worth the 60 second boot up and once the magic $150 models come out if HD-DVD doesn't win, I can just switch to another reality where BR lost and that way I'm still on the right side and my life can go on knowing that it had some meaning. It's the ultimate fanboy tool regardless of which camp you are in.
