I have a Toshiba 32A43 32" CRT TV. I moved a couple of months ago, and the TV was in subzero temperatures for probably 15 or 20 minutes before we got it in the house to acclimate.
Now when we watch it, the blacks are really blotchy, especially in really dark scenes.
Is there something that I can do to change this, or did the TV somehow get damaged in the move?
I'd appreciate any feedback on this.
nobody has any input/suggestions on this?

Sorry but haven't got a clue. Honestly that set is not worth fixing. It would be cost prohibitive at this point. You can get very cheap CRT HDTV these days if that is what you are looking for.
Well, I was thinking of going plasma, but I only have DirecTV standard definition.
I've heard bad things about standard definition and plasma...

If you can afford a plasma, you can afford a HD box for $6 more a month..

Are you kidding? Toshiba 32A43 was the last round 32" CRT ever made by Toshiba. It has some value and status in it.

?? Why?? It was an Orion chassis with a Toshiba CRT stuck in it.
Nothing special believe me.

You are mistaken. The chassis is cheaply-made, but it is assembled by Toshiba, and the power button is located at the right side of the TV with a menu button at the front. Orion has always made a TV chassis with no menu button at the front with the power button at the left side of the TV. Toshiba does NOT allow any Orion parts inside a Toshiba-made TV at all. You probably don't remember or you failed to notice while servicing one of them.

No. The 32" ones made after 2005 are made by Orion. This was a 2003-2004 model.
