three choices, without considering price, which is the best picture in a room without glare problems? what is the best HD PQ, what is the best SD PQ?
Thanks for any opinions.

Samsung LN-T3253H lcd
Sharp LC-32D62U lcd
Panasonic TH-37PX60U plasma

really curious about 1080p native signals on sets that don;t benefit from the extra resolution at normal viewing distances... is there any advantage PQ-wise of having a 1080p set with 1080p signal (i.e. to avoid the player or tv's scaling?)

No glare problem then get a plasma IMHO. I have had a LCD and a plasma side by side for a few days, during the day the lcd was great and the plasma was OK at night the plasma was unbelievable and the lcd was great.
Both where Samsungs.

As far as the 1080 goes you will hear differing opinions, best advice is go look your self. I can not tell the difference at normal viewing distance, 6-8ft on a 46" but some can.

thanks... yeah, I understand the 720p 1080p differences are minimal on smaller sets... I could see no difference on the Samsung HD loop playing at Fry's between the 720p samsung and the 1080p sharp (once I adjusted the pictures)... but I was wondering if there would be any benefit when they are actually fed a 1080p signal and were able to display it dot for dot (rather than through a scaler)... I would assume no, but have not seen a 1080p signal on a small set, they always have the hd-dvd and bluray players hooked up to the big screens. I'm leaning toward the plasma, as i could almost buy an hd-dvd player with the cost savings vs the other two, and buying it from costco would get me another year of warranty. just trying to get more opinions... I think the picture looks great on all three once adjusted in the stores.
Thanks,
-Doug

I asked the opposite question about ambient light (glare) here:

Now I wonder what a JVC HD-ILD looks like compared to LCD in ambient light. Anybody seen them side by slide?

went with the 37" panasonic plasma from costco. astonished by how good the picture is once adjusted. typical retail displays do not do plasma panels justice.
