Has anyone had success using 2-way mirror to make their own mirror TV?

I haven't done this myself, but I've seen it done in many homes, typically in the master bathroom but I have also seen it done in a master bedroom.

Why do you have advertising in your profile? That is not allowed on this forum, or did you pay to advertise here?

Thanks Kr8z1 I've seen it too and am thinking of ordering a frame or material and get it framed to make my own. Not the big wall mirror kind that shows a little TV in the corner but a whole framed mirror that is actually the TV when watching. I found plenty of 2-way material on the internet to make your own and was wondering on other's experience and things to watch for when building.

So far I think I need the "special" mirror material that is used for TV's since it lets more light through. The other main consideration seems to be to mount the material as close as possible (touching) the TV. A third is to make sure you get a bright TV as some light is lost. I'm looking for any other tips anyone might have.

I do not pay to advertise here and if my location is out of line I'd be happy to change it. I've had private discussions with other Mods about other issues and either no one has noticed it or they thought it was OK. Let me know and I'll change it right away.

Best regards,

Jason
