I have the Toshiba RD-XS34 and I want to take several shows that are recorded on the HDD and record them on to a single DVD. I cannot find how to do that in the manual. Can someone please give me step by step instructions to do that?
THANX!

I can't because I don't have a Toshiba. I remember when I had a similar question when I first got my Panasonic. The key was the word "dubbing". That is what Panasonic called the process of burning video stored on the hard drive to a DVD-R. On my E100 I just press the "Functions" button on the IR remote which brings up the dubbing menu and if you're in the "hard drive" mode you should see all the options you are looking for. Good Luck, just experiment a little.

I got it figured out, now if I can just remember how I did it next time. :D
Playlists! Palylists! Playlists!
It's all about making playlists in Toshiba editing.
When you select playlist editing, everything on the hard drive (that's not one copyonce protected) is available to to pick from and add into a new playlist. Any title, any chapter in any title, any other playlist, any chapter in any other playlist, can be chosen and combined with existing selections to make up a new playlist. You can put them in any sequence. They will all be come separate chapters of the playlist which forms a title. Depending on the formats of these components, you can even merge them within the playlist and create new chapter points wherever you like.
Once your playlist is set the way you want it, you just high speed dub it on to a DVD, nothin to it! Especially nice since the playlist is non destructive to the original recordings on the hard drive. Those recordings remain as they were regardless of how you have edited them in the playlist.
This is where the Tosh recorders excel, the editing system is done right. There's a small learning curve to understand the menu navigation. Once you have it you'll be master in a flash.
