WOW, this TV stuff is super confusing. I'm looking for a new TV & I have NO IDEA where to start. If you highly knowledgeable fine folks could help me out a bit I would appreciate it. Some of my guidelines are below to help you out. If you suggest a brand please post why you are choosing it & possible cons. Thanks for the help/advice!

Cost: $1,500.00 (Max)
Size: 40"-42" (Over 42 does not fit in the cabinet)
Type: LCD, or Plasma (I have no idea)
Sound: Does not matter I have a 5.1 set up
Brand: Who makes the best in my price range?
Connections: HDMI a must

Must have widescreen

I was thinking plasma but I have read that if you have a room with lots of sunlight stay away from Plasma because of the glare. I do have two HUGE windows in the living room.

I was also looking at this one from Samsung, but I have no idea if it's good or not.
Model LNS4095DX/XAA

Which did you like the best when you saw them in action? You might also consider the
Olevia 542 that is below your price range, but again, you be the judge for your
viewing preferences, content, and distance.
