Anyone else having ongoing problems with HDMI?

I get the hiss and sparkle error every now and then on my Samsung, especially if I turn something on or off. No biggie. But ********, nonetheless.

But I just got a 32 inch Sharp Aquos - 32D43U, to be specific. And I get the following problem.

Turn on PS3, TV
goes into blinking panic mode. On/off every half second or so.
TV will now react like that to EVERY HDMI source, including my DVD player, receiver and 360 Elite.

Thing is, it doesn't happen every time. Sometimes it behaves normally all evening. Believe me, I have tried everything, cable swap, different power up sequences, via HDMI receiver, direct plug in - everything. PS3 always starts it off, it won't ever start happening with the other devices, but the TV seems to be the culprit since it stays in that state afterwards, even when I switch to input 5 (HDMI 2).

Also, it didn't happen til after I upgraded to PS3 firmware 1.7

In the past few weeks we have heard of a number of issues with the Sharp LCD's @ 1080P.
I have one on our bench that after testing appears to be out of the HDMI spec (although that has worked perfect at up to and over 100' @ 1080P).
I have talked with a dealer that hs had sparklies with cables as short as 1 meter.
Another dealer that had spurious small red lines and yet another that could not get a sync.
We do not yet have an answer to these problems but we are working on it.
I would be very thankful if anyone with issues would email me about them so that I may start a database.

Thank You
