I was just thinking about the 2 year warranty I bought from microsoft. Does the 2 year extended warranty start after the original 1 year warranty? Or does it start from the date of purchase? I bought my 360 at launch and was wondering if I needed to renew the warranty this year or next ?

Call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and ask to speak to a customer service rep. Tell them you have a question about your warranty and they can tell you the exact date that it expires. I recently purchased two new Elite consoles to replace two launch Pro consoles. I bought the two year warranties from MS back in December 2005 and when I asked about the expiration dates on those, I was told they would expire in December 2008. Apparently, the warranty begins AFTER the one year warranty expires; in effect, it is a warranty for three years.
