I've noticed that you can have one profile active at a time on a Xbox 360 (have to go through the "Account Recovery" each time to sign in).
I'm just wondering if anyone got a Memory Unit specially to take there Live account profile with them to friends places. My main reason for planning on getting one is to rack up the co-op achievements in some games.
Now, when I get the memory unit, can I simply "Move" my account to the memory card when I go to a friends and then "Move" it back to my Hard Drive easily? I just don't like the idea that I will always have to have my memory unit plugged in at home even though I have a hard drive.

Yes, what you are describing is exactly the intended use. You are supposed to "Move" the profile to the memory card and use it from the memory card while away, and then "Move" it back to your home console upon your return.
Thanks Slordak.
One more question for you guys.
Is the 64MB memory unit going to be enough to bring my Xbox Live profile with me for the duration of my console -- I don't think it'd ever grow beyond a couple of megs right? I have no need to copy save games/demos/media on the card, so I thought I'd save some money and just pickup the 64MB card for this reason.

The profile itself should only be a few megabytes, yes. It's all the game saves and Xbox Live Arcade games that really chew up the space on the memory unit for individuals who lack a hard drive.

64MB is more than enough for any profile.
Profiles and even game saves are small. 64MB is enough for your use.
We have 2 360s and four gamers in my family so we shuttle our profiles around on the memory unit. Works out pretty nicely, but I think I'll pickup a second one.
You will probably find that leaving the profile on the memory unit is fine. That saves you a few clicks from transferring it back and forth.

That's what I do. I just keep the MU in my 360 and just take it out whenever I go somewhere, or need to use it in one of the 4 360's in the house!
I'd just leave it in there. Auto Sign-In still works, and when you start games, you can choose where to save (I just do hard drive and keep profile on MU only).
Very handy accessory!
Thanks again everyone for the responses, I just ordered the 64MB MU.
Good to know that I have an option of either moving the profiles from HD to MU, or just using the MU only for the profile and still having my save games on the HD.

I keep my Live account on my memory card and move it with me. Works like a charm.
