Hi all,
This may seem like a stupid question to some of you, but is it possible to have two digital media streamers on the same network ?
ie. Could I stream from my PC, via a wireless router to two DSM-520s in one house ?
Thanks

Simple answer, yes :) But you may stumble on some devices that don't play nice ...
I run 1 wired Hava, 2 wired Roku's, 1 wireless Roku, 1 desktop and 1 laptop and previously a HD1000 on top of that on the same network with a NAS running 2 servers (mt-daapd aka Firefly and Twonky)
Hope this help's ...

Thanks Patrick, excellent help
Can you just explain what a NAS is ? Sorry - I'm new to all this ?
Does it mean I can't just stream from my PC, I need something else ?
Cheers

NAS = Networked Attached Storage
It's storage (hard drive) that's hooked up on the network. You could look up the Linksys NSLU2 which is a popular type of NAS since it's very hackable.
You can stream from your PC, it's just that you'll have to leave it running all the time and run a media server off it (like Windows Media Connect, Twonky, uShare ...). Look it up in the wikipedia under media servers. The server just needs to support the same protocol than the streamer.
Instead of running a computer 24/7, I run a NAS which is less power hungry.
