Hi all. I am slowly pushing all my media to a new 1TB hard drive for streaming to an xbox. Streams from two SATA 500GB drives in JBOD mode on an XP Home PC.

All my movies are single avi files per movie. Can I put them all in the same directory as this is easiest for me to deal with. Is there some limit to the amount of diskspace within a single directory in Windows? I have about 500 movies taking up 700GB of space. My music and photos are broken up into numerous directories. But movies would be easiest as a single directory. Thank you.

It should be fine. The only issue I run into is if there are a whole lot of items in a directory. Anything over a few thousand individual files makes XBMC slow to load and display the contents (just like a PC browsing that network share). In your case you are fine.
