i dont know squat about this DVD player. However, I just found a site that is giving one away per purchase of a Projector. What is this DVD player worth? And how does it compare to something like the Denon 1930CI (superior, similar, inferior?

These are highly regarded dvd players. Very inexpensive for what you get in many people's eyes. It has received very good reviews- see their website.

This particular player does not use the faroudja deinterlacing chip that the other oppo models use. It was their first player to offer hdmi out as far as i know.

Would you be running the player straight to the projector or to a scaler, and then to the projector?

Thanks. Actually, I am pretty sure I would either run it direct to the projector or to an A/V Receiver that can pass the signal thru without degredation.
