The image that is sent from my box has a negative slope. The xbox has done this on three televisions, so it's not the tv. When moving the console around, I hear a little piece tumbling around. I don't know what it is, but believe it may be linked to my problem. I have the Microsoft and target warranty, but I really don't want to return it and loose all my data.
Anybody experienced this? Any fixes?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by 'the image has a negative slope', but the little piece you hear tumbling around inside the box is most likely the 'console orientation sensor' that lets the xbox know whether it's sitting horizonal or vertically. All 360's make a rattling noise if you shake them, so if that's all it is then it's normal.
Also, if you use the MS warranty you'll be able to hold onto your current HDD, so you won't have to worry about losing any data.

What I mean by negative is, like an algebraic line graph, the image falls from the top left to the bottom right. Thanks for the info about the MS warranty. I'll give them a phone call today.
You wont be able to play arcades off line if you trade your console. Hopefully not a big deal for you. Sounds like you do need a new one.

It is not obvious with pictures and video, but it is visible with horizontal lines.

As long as you don't have any Live Arcade games, returning the console shouldn't give you any issues. You don't sent back the hard drive.
I'd try different cables first, though.

And waste the mulah? I'd complain to MS first, then follow reccomendations.

I would just go swap it out at target. MS usually just gives you a refurbished console in return. Just when you are at Target you ask them if you can keep your old HDD.
