Last week I downgraded to limited cable and I lost Fox in HD.

Talking to Comcast they keep saying it is a problem with the TV. They will not give Comcast HD Box with limited cable so that I can prove to them the channel is missing.

Does FCC require Comcast to carry the local channels in HD on limited cable?
Anyone getting Fox HD (Q13) with limited cable from Comcast?

HD locals are considered part of limited basic.
They probobly re-transmit them in QAM and in the clear.
If you need a box to get Fox HD they should still lease one to you.

In Boston, there are folks who get DVRs with JUST LIMITED BASIC!

In turns out the person at comcast I spoke to yesterday did not know the policy.
I called up Comcast today and they said, I can have HD box with limited cable. They updated the case notes with this information. I went back to the comcast store and picked up the box.
If Fox HD works with the HD box then I should be able to get it on my QAM tuner too.

I should be able to get, ABC, NBC, Kong, CBS, PBS, MyNetworkTV, CW and Fox in Hi-Def.

I got it to work.

The call signs are missing in the signal so I had to look at each channel one at a time.

Has anyone ever got help from Comcast in boosting the signal of the HD locals? The signal I'm receiving is worse from cable than over the air for most of them.

Thanks,
