Hi All,

I have a westinghouse LTV-32W1 which does not have an HDMI input. Instead it has DVI and audio inputs, among others.

I have my TiVo attached using a HDMI to DVI cable and run audio seperately. I have two other HDMI devices that would be nice to use with the DVI port (instead of component or composite as it is now) so I was considering a HDMI switchbox, but I'm not sure if I can find one that will let me break out HDMI into DVI+Audio to feed the TV.

Is there a recommended approach to this?

Regards,

Jason

Wow, very cool but pricey...

I would likely put the $600 towards a better tv with multiple HDMI inputs as well as medical bills from the wife coming after me with a rolling pin...

Such a box probably won't be extremely cheap, because the box would need the electronics to fully decode the HDMI signal, extract the audio (with an analog amp to turn into line level analog signal), then re-encode into DVI. So this isn't a trivial amount of electronics to do this.
